Questions & Answers
What is your event cancellation policy? Each package has a non-refundable deposit required, starting at $100 and rising with the cost of the package. We enforce no other requirements..
What is your customer satisfication cancellation policy? If a couple is truly dissatisfied, we will work something out. This has never happened, so we must depend on all parties simply being reasonable in extreme circumstances..
What are your standard payment terms? A non-refundable deposit reserves your officiant for your date and time, and package if purchased. The balance is due before the ceremony, or in cash at the start of the ceremony..
What makes you different from other local wedding officiants? Why should someone hire you? Three things distinguish us: We write creative, customized ceremonies tailored to each couple. This makes your own ceremony yours, and you receive your copy in print as an important document. We deliver traditional, non-traditional, religious, inter- and non-denominational, non-religious, and spiritual ceremonies. We honor the customs of all cultures (American, Spanish, Korean, Chinese, Indian, etcetera). Any loving couple who wants to make public commitments of their love will have that honor with us. We are natural, not stiff or pompous. We collectively have thousands of hours doing public speaking and organizing large and small events. We do not tell jokes, but we do know that humor is often appropriate for fun and to break the spell of a moment's frustration. I married a couple inside a hotel in from the rain after many false starts, all last-minute, to conduct the ceremony outside, as intended. The bride was still upset when we got to the exchange of rings, and the groom was upset because the bride was upset, and the guests were upset for the couple. When the bride placed this very nice ring on the groom's finger, I leaned forward, paused, and then said, "Wow. Nice ring! Lucky man!" Everyone laughed. The tension broke and the joy that should have been there quickly rose and the rest all turned out well. Joke? No. Humour applied when needed. Yes. This goodwill and humor only comes with life experience, often in public speaking..
How many wedding do you officiate a year? 250+.
