• Who exactly will be taking pictures at my wedding? Do you use subcontractors? No subcontractors: you will be guaranteed to book Melissa every time (with an optional 'second shooter' along with)..

• How many months in advance do I need to reserve your services for my wedding date? We recommend you make a reservation early to avoid disappointment and to guarantee the date of your choice. However, if Melissa isn't already booked, she may be able to attend your event as late as a few days beforehand..

• What kind of equipment will you bring with you? Do you bring backup equipment? lighting? Since most of Melissa's work is contemporary/photojournalistic, no special lighting (other than flash/off-camera flash) is necessary. Melissa will bring several digital SLR cameras, and a couple of traditional film cameras for effects (35mm and medium-format)..

• What new ideas have you implemented in the last couple years? Are you current with latest trends? The 'artsy' aspects of shooting with film are a neat trend which Melissa uses to supplement her digital photography. Some of the latest technology is used to produce the albums offered by SweetBeePhoto too, and the documentary style is a very defining trend (although it is implemented by Melissa very tastefully and elegantly, as a browse through her portfolio will attest)..

• Will you be taking digital photographs? Is there an extra charge for this service? No charge; quality digital is the principle way Melissa will capture your event..

• Can guests view and order shots on-line? How soon will the photos be put on-line? Yes. Photos are available for viewing online by you and/or your guests roughly 6 weeks after your event..

• What are your standard payment terms? How much is the deposit? Your deposit is one-third of the total you agree with SweetBeePhoto, due when you book Melissa for your event (the rest due on the day)..

• How would you describe your photographic style? What does this mean? Contemporary, photojournalistic. This means modern, elegant, and most photos are documenting the real moments you and your guests will remember: intimate exchanges, glances, people and sunsets, key details that you've worked so hard to put together..

• How far are you willing to travel? Is there a travel charge? Melissa travels for most events, so the travel charges are a part of her package prices..

• Can we request both that both color and black & white photography be used at the wedding? Yes. This is a normal part of Melissa's photography..

• Do you bring an assistant to the wedding to help coordinate portraits? An optional 'second shooter' is available to help capture the event more fully; this is recommended, and allows Melissa to help coordinate posed shots and other things more freely without worrying about missing something..

• Can I keep the negatives? the proofs? Is there an extra charge for this service? How much? You can buy the digital negatives on disc for $400 and with that the rights to the photos are yours forever, or you can allow Melissa to use her quality labs to produce great prints and albums for you..

• How quickly will I receive my prints? Quality print ordering will take up to six weeks from the date of your event. After that time, orders will take 1 - 2 weeks with standard shipping (quicker if expedited)..

• How many pictures do you take? Can I provide a list of posed photos for you to take? Depending on the length of your event, you can expect to receive between 200 and 500 full photos after editing. Melissa is used to taking lists of posed shots on the day..

• What makes you different from other local photographers? Why should someone hire you? Melissa is hired most often by clients outside her area who choose her to photograph their event because of her unique and elegant work with a contemporary style.
